Quarterly blog update

Yeah, it's been longer than I'd like since my last post. Sadly, I've spent more time on MySpace than here. I still hate MySpace. I probably spend a full third of the actual time on that site waiting for pages to load. And most sessions end with me shutting down my browser in disgust after a page either fails to load, or clicking "Sign Out" does nothing.
I got the job! I'm on my third week now. The first two weeks were training on the day shift. (Starting at 6:30 am is not my idea of fun.) I'm now on the graveyard shift. I'm at work a bit before 10:30 pm, and I leave around 7:00 am the next morning. Most people probably think I'm nuts, but I'm happy to be on the graveyard shift again. It suits my circadian rhythm more, in fact. But that doesn't make it easy to adjust to. Urk.
I'm playing WoW more - and happy about it. I'm also getting caught up on some TV watching. Still watching the first season of Lost, re-watching Smallville so I can get back on track. I missed the last season and a half, so I got seasons 1-4 on DVD. I'm nearly done with season 2. And then there's Battlestar Galactica and Heroes. I'm looking forward to Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis resuming soon.
Oh - and I just signed up for an account on twitter.com - it lets you keep friends up to date with what you're doing with little one-sentence posts.
I've added the "badge" to the sidebar on the left.

Spreadsheets and flowcharts

I'm still alive - I've just been busy.
I'm waiting to hear about the position I applied for, hoping I get the job. I applied about 6 weeks ago. Holidays are terrible for getting things done.
Speaking of getting things done, I'm trying to keep to a (flexible) schedule I set up for myself. I'm trying to devote one hour a day, 4 days a week, to doing the stuff around the house (apartment) I never want to do. Breaking it up into little bits makes it far less onerous.
And I think I'm renewing acquaintances again. Or trying to. I'm terrible about forgetting to call someone I don't see or hear from on a regular basis. If you haven't heard from me recently, your turn will come. Or just give me a call!

If age is before beauty, I'm first in line

If you don't like thirty-somethings, you have one year before we need to end our friendship.
I hit the big 3-0 last night. I'm kind of sad about it. I'm in an age bracket that virtually NONE of my friends are in.
I say you have a year because I'm not a thirty-something right now. At 30, you're just a thirty-nothing. :P

You could save 15% or more on VkAGRA

Today I received another mind-blowing email. From Azzurra Britton.

Hi,

VkAGRA for LESS
[another spam link omitted]

Madonette raised her hand.
I am Jim diGriz and this is my band. And I don't believe in banks.

I'm with you, Jim diGriz and the Grizzlies!
I don't think banks actually exist either!

Viagra's overrated... I want VkAGRA!

Ah, spammers. We must be seriously stupid if this stuff actually works.
We've had a spate of spam at work of late. The one I got today was kind of cute. Like a retarded puppy.

Hi,

VkAGRA for LESS
[spam link omitted]

A sweet and high-pitched womans voice.
Of course!

I don't know what that is supposed to mean. But it makes me think that all is right with the world. A sweet and high-pitched womans voice. Of course!

More blogs, please

Goodness. I've been hankering for yet another place to post things others may or may not find interesting.
In all seriousness, I'm trying to unify my online identity. The plan is to start a webcomic (who hasn't?), and this may be a good place to start.
I'll try to be a little more frequent an updater here than I have elsewhere of late.
Don't hold your breath.
